The focus of my practice has been pretty evenly split between commercial litigation and product liability litigation over the nearly 30 years I have practiced law. My commercial litigation experience cuts across many industry sectors. I have a particular interest in any cases involving privacy issues. I have earned the ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). I am admitted to both the Mississippi and Tennessee bars, having lived in and been educated in both states. I have experience handling small and large cases (including mass torts and class actions). Waste is one of my hot button issues in life. As a result, in my legal work, I try to focus on the end game and think creatively about how to efficiently resolve each legal problem a client brings to me. Sometimes that means taking a case to trial which I welcome. But sometimes that means trying to leverage case strengths to reach a compromise at the time most beneficial to the client. Whether working on a case alone or with a team, I try to provide clients with the maximum value possible consistent with their business interests. Since 2011, I have been listed as one of the top 50 lawyers in Mississippi and one of the top 50 female lawyers in the Mid-South. I am active in the legal community with the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Capital Area Bar Association. I am active in Mississippi through various charitable organizations including the MIND Center and Youth Villages. I am a middle child and am married with three sons.
