Stephanie Ruiz serves as president of Media Department II – a successful media buying and marketing company in South Florida – where for the past 33 years she has provided unparalleled leadership in developing media plans and events that drive results for her clients. Stephanie’s insights into media relations and the market as a whole, as well as her professional business relationships, have helped her to deliver far in excess of her clients’ expectations. She is a trained media planner, buyer and marketer of traditional and non-traditional media. Given her longevity in the business community, Stephanie also delivers beneficial relationships and ideas that reach way beyond the media industry. Stephanie’s specialized industry marketing experience – where she boasts long-term association with clients – include the various areas of healthcare, franchise brands, thoroughbred racing, casinos, retail, and event marketing. Stephanie joined the agency in 1987 after graduating from the University of Florida, with a degree in advertising and a minor in marketing. In 1991, Stephanie and a partner bought the company, and, in 2006 she became sole proprietor of the firm. Over the years, Stephanie has been involved in various business and professional organizations such as AWRT (American Women in Radio & Television), NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), the Aventura Marketing Council and the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the Executive Board as Vice Chair, held numerous leadership position within the Chamber and was awarded the James McDonnell Outstanding Board of Governor Award (2013). Stephanie has also been a member of the Miami Beach Convention Center’s Advisory Board (2012-2013).
