Stephanie Rushford is a native New Yorker immersed in all things media. Her career started in television production at MTV and has now evolved into social media consulting. She consults with the Washington D.C. based Verified Strategy, and privately consults with clients — past clients have included NGOs, private companies, and Diversity Leaders—on their social media strategy.While consulting with Verified Strategy, she has had the pleasure of working twice with the nonprofit, American Educational Research Association, on their social media strategy for their 2018 and 2019 annual meetings, in New York and Toronto, respectively. This past AERA annual meeting brought together approximately 14,000 leading academics and education researchers from across the globe. For Verified Strategy’s client, Conservation International, Stephanie created the campaign #12DaysofConservation. This Instagram campaign highlighted the global impact of Conservation International’s work. This content resonated with many of Conservation International’s followers, and was shared and reposted by actor and activist Leonardo DiCaprio. In collaboration with other Verified Strategy staff, Stephanie also produced a Facebook Live centered on how climate change disproportionately affects women.Additionally, she was also a part of the digital team at The Rockefeller Foundation, where she co-managed the digital launching of major initiatives, like, Digital Jobs Africa and 100 Resilient Cities. To date, 100 Resilient Cities has worked with sixty-seven cities across the globe, with a 100-million-dollar budget.
