Bankruptcy Services, Dallas (1990 - 1993). Created financial models and served as on-site manager to manage liquidity and developed restructuring strategies in the bankruptcies of Zale’s, Greyhound Bus Lines, Federated Department Stores, El Paso Power, America West Airlines, and other companies. Performed financial due diligence of Northwest Airlines, involving analysis of routes, capital planning, and financial feasibility for investors contemplating loan of $1.3 billion.Kuwait Ministry of Electricity and Water, Kuwait City (1993 – 1994) Collaborated with engineers and lawyers to memorialize damage caused by Iraqi invasion and develop estimates of costs to repair or replace power and desalination plants, transmission infrastructure, and real property and to calculate lost revenues. Prepared and defended claims in front of the United Nations Compensation Committee.Mattel de Mexico, Mexico City (1994-1995) Seconded to Mexico City to assist company in preparing a business interruption revenue claim after a fire burned down its main warehouse just before the Christmas holiday delivery season.Transaction Services, Moscow (1995 – 1997). Seconded to lead financial due diligence and post-acquisition services practice. Clients were multinational companies and private equity firms investing in Russian enterprises.
