Raise The Barr is on a mission to increase the economic mobility and opportunities for single-parent postsecondary student and their children, offering comprehensive wrap-around programming.- Since 2017, worked closely with the founding CEO of Raise The Barr to develop and implement a strategy that has scaled organizational infrastructure and programming from supporting 10 to over 200 single-parent students and their children each year and increasing the operating budget from $150K to $1.9MM. - Co-founded an initiative in partnership with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) to increase access to higher education for the estimated 70,000 student parents in the state, resulting in hiring a full-time staff person at OHE dedicated to student parents, the first such role in the U.S.
