A passionate nonprofit professional with a Master of Public Policy degree and 15+ years of experience in advancement, communications, marketing, community engagement, program management, and cross-functional leadership. I am a published author and TEDx curator committed to skillful storytelling and thought leadership. A monthly contributor to Psychology Today, my articles have also been featured in various publications including Newsweek, HuffPost, Spirituality & Health Magazine, The Sunday Paper, and OptionB.Most recently, I've worked in the grief and bereavement space, conducting independent research and providing education and support centered on ambiguous grief. I authored "Soulbroken: A Guide For Your Journey Through Ambiguous Grief" (Hachette/Balance), which received the 2023 Nautilus Book Awards Gold Winner for grief and loss. My book has received praise from leading voices including Adam Grant, Elizabeth Lesser, Maria Shriver, and Marisa Renee Lee, and is available in paperback, e-book, and audio. I wrote the book with the hope that sharing my story of ambiguous grief will help others feel less alone in theirs and am always delighted to hear from readers!Trees, mission-driven teams, and authentic people are my favorite, and help me thrive.

Grieving the loss of a loved one who is still living isn’t easy. After my own heartbreaking loss onset by divorce, I struggled to understand why my grief felt so different. Through research, writing, and a myriad of modalities, I grew to better understand my own grief and to help others understand theirs as well. Whether your ambiguous grief is activated by divorce, discovery, addiction, dementia, estrangement, incarceration, identity change, or something else, your loss is real and your grief is valid. It is my personal mission to help others navigate ambiguous grief and grieve the loss of a loved one still living. Through curated tools and proprietary research, I will guide you to honor your loss and reimagine your life ahead.*M.P.P.*Certified Grief Educator*Psychology Today Monthly Contributor* Co-Author, Ambiguous Grief Process Model*Author, Soulbroken: A Guidebook for Your Journey Through Ambiguous GriefI’m an avid reader, dark chocolate eater, and currently training to hike to Mt.
