Grieving the loss of a loved one who is still living isn’t easy. After my own heartbreaking loss onset by divorce, I struggled to understand why my grief felt so different. Through research, writing, and a myriad of modalities, I grew to better understand my own grief and to help others understand theirs as well. Developed and led a dynamic volunteer team in all aspects of inaugural TEDx event including budgeting, pricing, sponsorships, advertising, speaker selection, editing, coaching, and designing the 1-day event experience for over 450. Achieved budget goals by generating revenue and building strategic partnerships with cash and in-kind support. Received a 91% recommendation rating from attendees with 100% of talks approved and accessible on TED.com.

Successfully completed a wide-range of projects varying in industry, scope and depth. Including non-profit board recruitment, board training, developing and deploying nonprofit fundraising campaigns, training and developing home-based business owners, writing for on-line publications, and content website design for Riseuprooted.net and ambiguousgrief.com.

Intern in the Office of Agency Liaison, Room 6 OEOB.Reviewed, researched, vetted and directed the President's constituent correspondence to the appropriate government agency. Wrote briefings and follow-up memos for review by POTUS.
