Dual role combining business administration duties with increased responsibility for property development and corporate expansion, including historic building rehabilitation, new construction, and needs analysis for prospective client properties. Member of senior executive committee responsible for growth strategy and asset development. Programme management and project management, including feasibility studies, financial analysis and budgeting, site planning, architect and contractor selection, construction phasing and transition to operations. Significant projects included:• The Caves, Jamaica: Modelling expansion of a small boutique resort to add privately owned villas, Aveda® Concept Spa, restaurant, retail, and 100% increase in hotel rooms. Responsible for conceptual development, strategic planning, financial modelling, masterplanning and design workshops, subdivision approval and infrastructure development.• The Governor, Miami Beach: Rehabilitation and expansion programme for historic hotel in the Art Deco District. Conducted architect competition, created financial models and sensitivity analyses, defined operational parameters for design team. • The Kent, Miami Beach: Renovation of historic hotel. Needs analysis, budgeting and financial management, contractor selection, project management.• Kamalame Cay, Bahamas: Site assessment, needs analysis, contract negotiation for private island hotel.I also set up and ran Island ACTS, a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)3 foundation dedicated to channelling corporate donations to community and economic develoment projects and other charitable recipients in Jamaica.(Island Outpost has since divested the US and Bahamian properties, and now operates only in Jamaica.)
