Current3DQue builds smart microfactories (QPoDs) for producing plant-based plastic goods using 3D printers. 3DQue and its sister company, 3DQue Medical, are working hard to produce covid response products (such as face shields and automated sanitizer dispensers) and to collaborate with companies and government to secure critical supply chain components such as vents, brackets, boxes, and packaging inserts. In the past year we have increased throughput 14x (from 4g/hr to 55 g/hr); built a print farm with 45 printers; and now have a team of 20+.By eliminating the labour needed for part removal and printer resetting, 3DQue enables cost-effective reshoring of small and mid-scale injection molding (up to 50,000 parts/year), reducing lead times from months to hours or days and accelerating time to market. This on-demand process eliminates long-distance shipping and the need for high volume warehousing, reducing both GHGs and carbon footprint. The system is fully compatible with most 3D printers.
