About Stephanie Snyder
From volunteering in high school and college to attending a grad program focused on providing students with hands on ministry experience, I have fallen in love with serving God and His Church. As a student in the Echo program at Notre Dame I am studying theology and learning to do ministry hands on in a Church. The first year was aimed at gaining experience in all areas of ministry. During this second year I am taking on leadership roles in multiple areas of ministry. - Created 15 lessons for 1st through 8th grade, introducing the new family based faith formation model and adapting content for each grade level to meet them at their developmental level - Strengthened Confirmation lessons for 9th grade by aligning them more closely with our parish mission through implementing engaging activities that made living the faith relevant and relatable - Presented talks for Confirmation, RCIA, Alpha, junior high and high school youth groups, and other parish opportunities, tailoring the lessons for each age level to effectively receive material- Coordinated the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) as a member of the NCYC diocesan planning team, organizing registration, travel, hotel, group leader communication and community building for a group of 475 people - Implemented a middle school youth group, identifying a need within the parish community, presenting that need to my superiors, and fulfilling the need by creating a space for students to engage with their faith outside of formal classes- Recruited, trained and oversaw youth group (middle school and high school), Confirmation, and Alpha volunteers by discipling, fostering leadership skills, and preparing them to take on leadership roles- Ran the Fall 2019 Alpha Session, streamlined communication within the team, prepared all materials, and facilitated a small group - Organized the RCIA program, coordinated volunteers to prepare weekly meals, guided group discussions, and prepared liturgical items for the Easter Vigil - Accompany and assist parishioners in a Hispanic ministry context in popular devotions and the RCIA process
