Stephanie Solis is currently in the second year of her Master's degree at Florida State University. She is pursuing a degree in Urban and Regional Planning focused on sustainable development planning. In the summer of 2022, Stephanie started working as an International Cooperation Analyst for the United Nations Resident Coordinator office in Guatemala supporting the Partnerships and Finance for Development Officials. Through this internship, Stephanie gained valuable and enriching experience by working collectively toward furthering sustainable development goals (SGDs). The SDGs are the world's shared plan to end extreme poverty, reduce inequality, and protect the planet by 2030. Stephanie strengthened her professional competencies by working alongside dedicated, conscientious, and efficient teams. She delivered products by abiding strictly by deadlines and achieving great results by demonstrating consistent commitment, and pride in her work. The success of her learning journey was powered by recognizing complex tasks and how to solve them by utilizing creative ways to understand challenges, differences, and a respect for diversity. Through this experience, Stephanie was also able to gain different global and multidimensional opportunities through one of the world's largest international organizations, it especially allowed her to acquire practical knowledge in the field of development and international cooperation.This inspired her to join the mission of supporting more sustainable and healthy cities by advancing human rights that promote justice, and equality. Stephanie is committed, through her work to supporting and advancing the efforts that create communities and societies to become more environmentally sustainable, prosperous, fairer, and better governed.
