Cash Equities Senior Product Controller (New York, NY)• Manager of a team of two individuals who issue and analyze the profit and loss (P&L) and the balance sheet for the Trading Desk• Lead controller for Electronic, International, Retail and Worked trading desks• Maintain and monitor the commission business across Equities• Oversee and reconcile all of the Cash Equities revenue shares, wires and hard cost transfers with the Wealth Management Department, Investment Banking Department and the International functions to ensure timely payments and settlements are made• Preparation, analysis and reporting of daily P&L as well as daily, weekly and monthly commentary.• Understand, review and sign off all business unit balance sheets • Analyze contra revenues brokerage fees• Attend monthly meetings with business management to review all outstanding accruals versus actuals• Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and yearly signoff of the P&L and balance sheet for the Desk• Verify all positions within the risk management system and settlement system; responsible for calculating all closing market values that the Desk maintains to ensure integrity of the P&L• Daily interaction with traders, senior management and business management to discuss all weekly, monthly and quarterly month over month balance sheet and P&L movements
