I provided case management and program coordination for individuals and groups of underrepresented student populations at Champlain College, including but not limited to Single Parents Program; low-income students; New American; Champlain Achievement, Retention, and Excellence Program; non-residential; and Vermont First students. I coordinated food insecurity initiatives on campus, which manages the College's food pantry and provides educational experiences for the campus. I also oversaw, processed requests for, and distributed emergency funding on campus.

Along with conducting interviews with perspective students and leading information sessions with admitted students during the Spring Semester, I will also be working on with the Admissions Counselor with transfer students interested in applying to Champlain College. I will also be working with another Admissions Counselor on events and applications for students from some of the partnership pathway schools with whom the College has created and maintained relationships.

I work on research projects and offer advice on how to create better access to resources and support for student employees as well as general student populations through operation processes within the department. I am also working with both the Departments of Residential Life and Marketing to create website content for the College's fairly new Gender-Free Housing option.

My main role is to welcome prospective families to campus through campus tours, large events, and meetings with students. I also assist with office and tour training for new student ambassadors. I was the former committee officer for mentorship, which trains and organizes admissions volunteers. I am currently the Committee Officer for Service, which serves to better connect the Student Ambassador team to the college and to the greater community.

My main role was to uphold community and safety standards of the College within the residence halls as well as build community and engagement within the residence halls as paraprofessional live-in staff member of the Office of Residential Life. I created active and passive programs on a weekly basis, such as bulletin boards and hall events and committed to at least three nights of active and passive duty every week in order to maintain the standards of the community and to build relationships with residents who lived in the residence hall. This included continuing my role for a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland.

Champlain College

My main role was to manage day-to-day functions within the office as well as help plan events and maintain programs developed by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Champlain College. I would also mentor and hold 1:1 check-in sessions with first-year college students who fall into at least one of the four populations served: first generation college students, students of color, low income students, New American students. Along with my primary role as an administrative assistant, I also worked as a Head Mentor for the Imagine College program, which brought high school students from various regions of the East Coast to Champlain College for a week to allow students to experience the college life for a week. My role was to not only mentor the students who attended the program but also to train and support other mentors on staff.
