About Stephanie Ward, Aicp

Stephanie wears a number of hats within Mead & Hunt. She manages the aviation planning group in that is responsible for our work in the eastern US and also leads the state system planning pursuits and Mead & Hunt's ACRP projects. Stephanie enjoys sharing her over 30-years of aviation planning experience with her clients as well as the Mead & Hunt staff. She has spent her entire career serving clients nationwide from small general aviation airports to state aviation agencies as well as national clients like the TRB-ACRP and the FAA.She has extensive experience with airport master plans, environmental planning (NEPA), land use planning, aviation system planning, land acquisition, obstruction removal, airport zoning, and public involvement. She has a passion for aviation that stared early when she earned her private pilot license as the age of 17.Her specialties include:Project ManagementAirport Land Use PlanningAirport Master PlansEnvironmental StudiesAviation System PlanningLand AcquisitionAirport ZoningCommunity InvolvementPublic InvolvementAviation Research.in late 2024, she was elected to the Michigan Association of Airport Executives Board as the corporate board member. She is also a member of the Transportation Research Board Aviation Subcommittee focused on Aviation System Planning (AV020) and is a second term member of the board for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) Center of Aviation Education and Research. In 2019, she was honored to receive the President's Award from the Michigan Association of Airport Executives for her work in Michigan and in particular coordinating the Michigan Aviation Professionals Training Course.
