I'm the co-founder of empower, based in Cologne, Germany. We are a software company that specializes in creating brand-compliant documents in Microsoft 365 for businesses. Together with Fabian Willebrand, who I met at my first job as a consultant at Accenture, we had the idea to start a company with the vision to create Office templates that make working with Microsoft Office more efficient and effective. But right from the start: Today, it's a breeze to analyze large amounts of data and present it in a graphically appealing way. When I started college in 2001, this was still a dream of the future. Back then, large amounts of data were often analyzed manually. With Excel macros and my rudimentary programming skills, I unknowingly laid the foundation for our software company. After a few years as a pure project company, supporting customers with customized office automation, we founded empower GmbH in 2009. We quickly realized that there was a huge demand for Excel and PowerPoint solutions. So we released the first version of empower in 2010. Today, we have more than 130 wonderful employees and support more than 3 million people and more than half of the German DAX companies in their work with Microsoft 365 - a development of which I am very proud of. empower stands for brand-compliant and professional documents for everyday work.
