My duties in this position consisted mainly of PR related tasks, sending out press releases and student and campus announcements. I also planned and promoted events and created some materials for promotion. I followed strict branding guidelines when creating any promotional material to keep our logo and identity consistent. I also updated the AS website and established AS Government's social media presence on a Facebook Fan Page, blog (http://asgovchico.wordpress.com/) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/ASgovChico) to maintain transparency and direct communication with the students.

Copy editor for the Opinions section of CSU, Chico's award winning newspaper, The Orion.Responsible for editing four stories per week within a 24-hour period for spelling, grammar and AP Style.

At the Synthesis I wrote CD reviews and did online promotion for the launch of their National Magazine. I also contacted new artists and potential sponsors for Hit the Deck II, a traveling art exhibit that brought together artists, graphic designers, clothing designers etc, to create a piece of art on a skateboard deck.I also contributed to the Synthesis Blog.
