In charge of the engineering department at Rainbow SkyReach (Pty) Ltd. Managing a team of aeronautical engineers to provide engineering support and to develop improvements for the BushCat light-sport aircraft as well as tending to general production, aircraft maintenance and customer support issues as they arise. Head of quality control. Managed a 2 year long flight test program in collaboration with the Test Flight Academy of South Africa to certify the BushCat aircraft for overseas markets, developed improved aircraft telemetry systems and their associated programs to process, analyse and display flight test data.

Structural analysis of the BushCat light sport aircraft, including finite element modeling, aerodynamic analysis and structural testing. Flight test engineering duties related to the re-certification program of the Bushcat.Compiling certification documentation required by various international aviation authorities and ensuring that the aircraft complies with the required certifications specifications.Graphic design relating to the various manuals associated with the current production run of aircraft.

Assisted a local light aircraft manufacturing company on behalf of the aeronautical engineering department of wits with a small group of my peers.Duties included assessing certification requirements of an existing aircraft design and suggesting modification to be made in order for the aircraft to comply with European (EASA) requirements.It also included, a feasibility study of converting the current low wing design into a high wing variant, market analyses, basic structural calculations and layout suggestions, along with an initial performance and stability estimation of the new aircraft was put forward to the company.

Worked with a small group of engineers on the initial design of a microlight replica of a Eurofighter Typhoon jet fighter. The initial design would be presented to investors to get funding.Duties included the design of systems including the fuel system, powerplant and cooling. Structural layout design. Aerodynamic analysis and initial performance estimations.
