I am a sustainable development professional and anthropologist with 7 years of experience across academic, non-profit, and field environments. I specialize in climate adaptation strategy through community-based adaptation, grants management and evaluation, social and environmental safeguards, designing pluralistic and participatory development projects, and monitoring and evaluation. I believe that for development projects to be successful and sustainable, local communities must be consulted and involved from ideation to completion and beyond. My past fieldwork experiences include researching the involuntary resettlement of Indigenous Peoples in Tanzania and other impacts conservation projects had on the Maasai, Iraqw, and Hadzabe; as well as an ethnographic study of shamanism and spirit possession in Bali. I bring my experience in cultural literacy and ethnography to development through relationship building and understanding of key stakeholders.
