I wrote my first book when I was 6 years old. Needless to say, it wasn't very good, but it was all it took for me realize I had a passion for words.From there I looked for any opportunity to write, whether it was contributing a poem to the 7th grade newspaper or attending Dandie Dinmont Terrier day to interview competitors for the organization's newsletter.I studied linguistics at the University of Toronto to gain a deeper, more scientific understanding of language and to analyze it from a different perspective—from the perspective of how sounds are made, how words are formed, and how one language can vary so subtly across ages, genders, and relationships.It's with these factors in mind that I approach writing or copy editing for each of my clients: who are you, who is your audience, and how do you want them to feel when they read your content?
