I am a digital adventurer with over 15 years experience in digital colour art, social media safety consulting, and web design. Under contract or subcontract, I have worked with such companies as Marvel Entertainment, DC Comics, Newsarama, Comic Book Resources, and the Government of Canada.Colleagues know me as a highly driven, creative, personable and outgoing individual. My ability to talk to both clients about their individual needs and the IT department on a technical level has proven to be a strong asset which bridges communication both internally and externally for any organisation I have been with. I love to share knowledge and have run seminars and workshops on social media and privacy. The highlight of my teaching was spending a week with young writers aged 12-18, developing their websites and social media presence, and ensuring they understood how to be safe online. I also volunteer on a regular basis, including teaching Photoshop to girls 8-13. I love to promote diversity in the "geek" fields. I am a public speaker and motivator for women in technology, video games and comics. I host regular talks about women in video games, about twice a year. My more creative endeavours has brought me to be a runway photographer at Western Canada Fashion Week, where I proudly had photographs circulate through the Edmonton Journal. I have also had the pleasure of shooting the Weird Al Yankovic concert in Calgary. As a comic colourist and blogger, I have been able to attend San Diego Comic Con, one of the largest pop culture conventions in North America. Most recently, I am half of a start-up with my colleague Ben Eadie, manufacturing faux armour components under the company Foam Armory. We have ran a successful Kickstarter for this new business venture.
