Based in East Falls-Philadelphia, this newspaper provides online content in tandem with a printed version issued monthly and distributed in Northwest Philadelphia.available in north-western Philadelphia. Coverage focuses on East Falls and its surrounding, northwest neighborhoods: Alleghany West, Germantown, Manayunk, Mount Airy, Roxborough and more. My Contribution:I had the pleasure of overseeing the rebranding and updated design of the "The Local" (formerly the The Fallser and converted to East Falls Local). My responsibilities included:- Designing an new logo- Conceptualizing a new style and layout for the printed newspaper.As a result of the refreshed look and feel of the newspaper, The Local was accepted into CultureTrust, a project under CultureWorks of Greater Philadelphia’s “humanities” branch.

CONTRIBUTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Partnered with the design team to ensure that all garment design specifications met licensing standards• Upon meticulous review of technical renderings and graphics, provided written reports detailing the specific edits and updates required to ensure *error-free production of garments*The referred errors included checking for misspellings, incorrect Pantone color usage, misshaped or pixelated graphics, etc.• Created a department wide guide used to train new team members and provide cohesive terminology

HCC’s latest project is a word game currently in development.CONTRIBUTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Initiate 2D Design for latest game project, “GRIDDLES”: • Assist with game concept development (including story boarding and wire framing) • Create app components and assets based on the game concept, includes: overall game interface, icons, fonts and color scheme development

Cristina Bijou is a small batch company specializing in designer handbags and the brainchild of award winning fashion designer, Regina White CONTRIBUTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisted owner, Regina White with the design and presentation of Cristina Bijous’s signature product: • Designed dynamic promotional pieces to boost brand presence, included: marketing materials such as media kits & press releases. These marketing and production materials were integrated into promotional vendor events, i.e. trunk shows. • Created custom catalogs that detailed product specification sheets and featured technical drawings and product. These catalogs were included in a presentation for the 2013 Southern Designer Showcase (sponsored by east coast retailer, Belk), of which Regina was a winning finalist. Consequently, White’s signature bags are currently retailed in Belk department stores.

The Cato Corporation is a women’s wear, retailer specializing in budget brand clothing.CONTRIBUTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Worked in the production department as an assistant fit specialist: • Built detailed, technical sketches of garments according to specifications provided by the production department. These renderings were created using the software programs Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. The sketches were compiled by fit specialists into production specification packages and utilized as guides for partnering production companies.
