I co-founded Mindful & Modern with one of my friends and my husband. We've been through MANY ups and downs since starting the brand in 2017/2018. As we were used to all being scrappy solopreneurs, we did most things ourselves until we crossed the 7-figure mark. Coming from years freelancing in design, I handled all the creative direction, graphic design, branding, photo direction, etc.

After years of freelancing on my own, during the e-commerce Covid boom I decided to expand and start a design agency dedicated to helping other e-commerce businesses. I managed all aspects of the business, including hiring team members, managing the team, managing sales, and managing clients.After years of running the agency, I decided I wanted to go back to building my own e-commerce brands and shut the agency down in late 2023.

I started my own jewelry brand to making hand crafted jewelry pieces. As my very first small business, I did most things myself - from branding, marketing, graphic design, photography, and more. I sold primarily on Etsy and shut the business down once I started to live abroad full time.
