As a Manager at RMI, Stephen first managed product development for the Business Renewables Center and then, in 2018, helped launch a new effort focused on helping cities purchase renewable electricity. The City Renewables Accelerator, a joint project between RMI and World Resources Institute, has since grown into a new program at RMI focused on accelerating climate action and sustainability efforts of local governments in the US and abroad.

Process involved interviewing a dozen corporate off-takers and service providers with experience in this area.-Provided key analytical, research, and managerial support for the Business Renewables Center's kickoff meeting in New York City, which was attended by over 60 people. -Created a collaborative platform for leading universities to discuss key energy and sustainability topics. Recruited 5 top universities to participate.
