As an astrophysicist by training, as well as an inventor, leader and adventurer, I have an insatiable appetite to visualize and explore our planet in ways that have never been done before… especially when tantalizing business opportunities tag along for the ride! To that end, we are proposing a paradigm shift in the way that wildfires are detected, evaluated and remediated. Our satellite-based solution will be able to detect very small wildfires (2m in ideal conditions) in real-time across the globe, monitoring their progression at less than 30-minute revisit intervals and providing AI-informed alerts to first responder agencies. We believe we will be able to eradicate the majority of catastrophic wildfire events and positively impact billions of people as well as help curb the effects of climate change for our children and future generations.
