Provided architecture and code for a Windows GUI, a Linux Data Acquisition system, and a DIN rail controller on the Gigasort(TM), a sterile, clinical, one billion cell per hour cell processing system. Implemented multi-parameter graphical data presentation and analysis tools within an open-source, O.S. agnostic, framework. Worked with a team of three full time and two contract developers optimizing throughput from 72 parallel micro-fluidic sorters controlled by a VME/FPGA based, soft real-time, laser driven, PMT and photodiode data acquisition system. Coordinated hardware and software design of a networked SCADA system for laser, pressure control, and motor and sensor devices. Instituted revision control, bug tracking and static testing tools, requirements and hazard analysis, and trace matrices. Skills - Visual C++ and Linux (Centos 2.6) coding. Stepping motor and sensor interfaces (RS-232 and TCP/IP). Cern/ROOT graphics and analysis, ModBus, SVN, Trac, Codesonar, IEC/UL 60601, cGMP and ISO quality system support.

Led hardware control, user interface, and algorithm development with three programmers for the PointCare Aurica(TM), a rugged, miniature flow-cytometer used in Africa for Aids Retroviral Therapy Monitoring. Developed machine control sequences, an automatic cluster finding algorithm, a Windows GUI, and database design and query functions. Evaluated hardware and assay performance, and supported a successful 510K application.
