I have always had an interest in strengthening families and helping people through their problems. In my professional career I have over 12 years of experience working with disadvantaged youth. As a county juvenile court officer, I was trained to provide programing, build trust, physical intervention, and behavior modification. As a volunteer, I have worked with hundreds of youth through the Boy Scouts of America and as a volunteer high school wrestling coach. This included scaffolding, mentoring, skill building, youth leadership training, and working with struggling parents. This is where I gained my motivation to work with parents to improve families. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I provide systemically-based psychotherapy individuals, teens, couples, and families. I have training in dozens of theoretical models, such as Narrative, Structural, Solution-Focused, MRI, Cognitive Behavioral, Gottman Method Couples, and especially Emotion-Focused therapies. I have clinical experience treating depression, anxiety, high conflict, dysfunctional attachment, behavior coaching, sexual dysfunction, and addiction. My focus is on couples, but I look forward to opportunities working with children and families.
