As the National Manager – Field Operations at Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA) I successfully delivered changes to the business processes, systems and technology across Field Operations to streamline activities and provide structures delivering efficiencies and continuous improvement ensuring I focussed on the people side of change. These efficiencies delivered approximately cost savings $6.3M over 5 years while simultaneously increasing employee adoption and usage.In parallel to the managing the day to day activities and the change management activities I also managed a 4 year project to measure the television coverage nationally to allow the seamless rollout of digital television coverage. This project was completed ahead of time and under budget.

Manage the $100M Telstra Mobiles Test & Integration Centre with 5 Technical Officers reporting to me.• Budget management for facilities management and for discreet projects• Vendor Management working with vendors of mobile network hardware and software (Ericsson, Alcatel, Nokia, Lucent and Nortel) to ensure the successful integration of their products with the existing Telstra Mobile Network.• Develop the Strategic and Operational Plan for the Mobiles Test & Integration Centre• Technical and Project Management of large complex projects with multiple competing stakeholders and highly complex radio and switching technology• Ensure the facility was available on a 24/7 basis.• The ability to multitask collaboratively negotiating with various vendors regarding availability of the facility.• Established 3rd party supplier contracts with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)which minimised downtimes• Oversaw the development and implementation of contingency plans for business critical events/tasks and equipment to ensuring reliable and continuous electricity, radio signals and switching• Introduced state of the art, biometrics scanner and digital recording security system to increased surveillance for safety and security of staff and propertyAccomplishments• Modernised the Telstra Mobiles Test & Integration Centre environment• Implemented systems to improve stability and reliability.• Ensured the infrastructure was strategically designed to have proficient redundancy.• Telstra was the first in Australia to deliver analogue, GSM, 2G and 3G mobile phone networks.
