Oversee and direct an organization of more than fifty technical supervisors, engineers and designers responsible for leading, planning, developing, budgeting, organizing coordinating and executing a variety of substation engineering projects and activities.• Responsible for coordination and achievement of O & M and Capital Projects in excess of 200 million USD annually.• Accountable for using and developing safe and cost effective design standards procedures, specifications and other initiatives to meet reliability goals and company integration.• Provides engineering design standard direction, support, and selection of cost effective reliability improvements incorporating the application of industry standards and practices relating to engineering, procurement and construction of electrical substations.• Assures department direction, holding subordinates accountable for deliverables with clear performance monitoring and metrics.• Performs performance appraisals and coaching to team members to improve individual and team performance including appropriately addressing any related issues.• Represents the department in working with other departments, consultants, customers, government agents and industry stakeholders to establish or review overall plans, design or strategy. • Accountable for the timely and accurate submission of responses to data requests, and interrogatories both internal and external• Serves as subject matter expert for internal/external requests.

Lead, direct and develop a staff of engineers and technical support personnel in planning, developing, budgeting and executing Substation Engineering Projects. • First-Line supervise a staff of seven direct personnel, four interim personnel as well as offsite contractors by providing technical guidance and application of Pepco standards and practices as well as industry codes• Monitor performance, develop goals, conduct appraisals, coach and counsel staff employees while simultaneously serving as technical consultant• Review, approve and red-line all manner of substation design drawings from primary physical design to secondary protective relay schematics and wiring• Review and approve material purchase requisitions and job order creation in SAP and WMIS• Manage the capital budget and monthly/yearly forecast for over fifty Substation projects ranging from relay upgrades, equipment installation to complete substation overhauls and expansions.• Lead overall discussion and planning of Pepco construction projects and resource allocation with Construction Management, Operations and Electric Maintenance on Spring and Fall basis• Respond to data requests and provide audit support as needed for outside agencies • Prepare expert testimony for Public Service Commissioner in MD and DC regarding transformer practices and procedures• Extend, evaluate and monitor external engineering contracts to A/E firms for Substation projects• Present departmental overview and detailed project summaries to external and internal stakeholders including executives• Lead Departmental Training Initiatives for all staff engineers and technical assistants

Project Manager and Project Engineer to upgrade Burches Hill Substation (Mid-Atlantic Power Pathway project). Project duration of 5 years.
