My current role is as the Retail Manager of Broadway Shopping Centre for Mirvac.Broadway Shopping Centre is a Regional Shopping Centre located in the inner west/city fringe of Sydney. In 2013 it achieved the award for generating the highest sales per square metre of any shopping centre in the nation, we also were awarded 2 major marketing awards for campaigns conducted in the year (FY 2012/2013). The success at Broadway continues with a number of new tenants taking up residence and generating market leading sales.While the role I play in the property is very wide the core of my function is working with our retailers to ensure they are happy in the property and maximising their turnover and in compliance with lease conditions conditions.I also liaise with the centres marketing staff to support retailers and also to provide them with information on retail and sales trends within the centre, in addition to this support is also given to the internal leasing manager in his interactions with current Broadway retailers.

This was a role I had as acting centre manager for a n 8 month period while the centre manager was on maternity leave.During this time there were a number of shop fits and tenant change overs which were successfully handled I also concluded several negotiations for the renewal of permanent car parking space provided to neighbouring commercial tenancies. These deals delivered double digit growth and were in the hundreds of thousands.

I came on board when stage 1 of this 3 stage development was finished. We worked with the various stakeholders to get stage 2 (the food court) and stage 3 (the Baylis St mall) of property opened on time and fully let.The Wagga Wagga Marketplace became a leader in the market it serves, not just as a retail destination but also as an active member of the business and broader community.

I worked with this business for 23 years in 3 states. I managed 3 stores, Mildura, Wagga Wagga and Keysborough. The later 2 of this group were also refitted under my management, both on time and within budget.
