Duties: Supervises Airfield Management Dispatchers and ensures the Airfield Operations Function provides a safe and effective environment for all flying and ground operations conducted on the airfield. Creates and executes plans for preventing Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Bird and Wildlife Safety Hazards, and Snow and Ice mishaps. Creates work schedules to ensure Air Operations is manned during all periods of flying operations. Conducts Dispatcher initial, recurring, and refresher training in accordance with current FAA Part 139, Air Force Instructions, and contract Statements of Work. Initiates certification and de-certification actions for all Air Operations Dispatchers as required. Creates and manages the Airfield Driver's Training Program. Creates and updates Quick Reaction Checklists, Standard Operating Procedures, Letters of Agreement, Memorandums of Agreement, and Dispatcher Information File. Submits required monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Airfield Status/Accomplishment Reports to US Government and Company Quality Assurance. Processes Flight Plans, NOTAMs, Local Advisories, PPRs, Flight Weather Watches, Advisories and Warnings as well as other time critical data for all flying activities. Certified as Airfield Management Dispatcher and performs duties as the same when required.

Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia

: Airfield Manager at deployed Airfield locations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and other combat operations. Oversees the conduct of all airfield activities to ensure a safe operating environment for personnel and aircraft operations in combat zones. Responsible for the overall operations and success of Air Traffic Control, Airfield Operations, Airfield Maintenance, Airfield Logistics, Passenger Terminal, and Forward Area Refueling in an extremely austere working environment. Coordinated actions with outside organizations necessary for proper reactions from these functional areas to rapidly changing and time sensitive situations. Submitted recurring reports that reflected status of personnel and equipment resources within the separate functional areas to Higher Headquarters of United States and Coalition Armed Forces, upper level management, and Continental United States Liaisons. Prepared and presented briefings to Senior Leaders on mission executions, updates, and after action reviews. Insured mission battle staff was provided with real time updates and developments as situations warranted. Responded to direct attacks and ensured safety and accountability of all personnel assigned to the Airfield Operations Function. Subject matter expert, chosen to inspect and rate the performance of the Airfield Operations Functions, at other geographical locations within the combat theater.

Afghanistan

Deployed as DOD contractor to perform duties in Airfield Management. Executed missions at one of the world's busiest airports in an extremely austere combat zone environment. Ensured a safe operating environment was provided for Coalition force and foreign civilian aircraft operations. Coordinated and submitted flight plans, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), Prior Permission Required (PPR) requests, and Hazards to Air Traffic Reports (HATR). Responded to Inflight Emergencies (IFE), ground emergencies, Birds and Wildlife Safety Hazards (BASH), Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and direct ground to ground launched missile attacks on the airfield. Created and Published Quick Reaction Checklists (QRCs) to ensure rapid and effective responses to emergency situations related to the flying mission. Trained and certified other Airfield Management personnel. Coordinated, executed and monitored Special Operations missions and submitted reports to the Battle Staff and upper echelons of command. Trained, certified, and issued Airfield Driving Licenses individuals in the base population requiring access and driving privileges. Coordinated, executed, and monitored major construction projects to include runway repair/replacement, ramp repair/replacement, and creating new aircraft ramp areas. Created and implemented airfield parking plans to be used due to severely limited ramp space.
