Since my time at Acumen, including the period I was an independent contractor, I have continued to serve as BMW Car Club's Director of Information Technology. I have overseen and contributed to the implementation of many projects that benefited the staff, Board of Directors, and club members.In 2015 I began working with a consultant group to help the club select a new CMS to manage our membership. The previous CMS was an on-premise solution, and we recognized that it was time to move to the cloud. The BMW CCA staff and I selected the CMS in June 2016, and we went live in October 2018. I worked closely with the vendor and personally development integrations with third parties for payment transactions and event registration.During the CMS implementation I learned Oracle PL/SQL and APEX. I used my new skills to provide APIs to our third parties and to created many fully-featured report applications. I leveraged the power of the CMS to reduce the workload on staff by automating tasks and making customizations to the back office. Also, I implemented solutions to provide club members with printable gift membership letters (which included a membership card).In addition, I oversaw and contributed to the implementation of a new website for BMW CCA Club Racing at https://bmwccaclubracing.com/

In my role at Acumen, I served as Director of Information Technology at the BMW Car Club of America. I was responsible for managing all technology services used by the staff, Board of Directors, and 70,000 club members.I managed and led the direction of the migration from our legacy membership database and website to the Club's new, more closely integrated CRM and website.In addition, I have overseen or directly implemented integration with third-party services such as: the Roundel mobile app, vehicle data for the website's virtual garage, single sign-on for event registration, and more.In 2016 I managed a project to launch a new website using several AWS services. We planned and implemented a horizontally expansible system when load becomes high from a large number of site visitors.

As Deputy Program Manager I was responsible for managing a team of three . I maintained the budget for salary, travel and other expenses. We were all tasked with analyzing the client's current practices, integrating those practices into our software solution, and instructing administrators and end users in the use of the software solution.

I maintained AIS's install of Peregrine's AssetCenter asset tracking database. I also wrote a custom solution to keep track of decisions made at the end of an asset's lease. Our team was also responsible for tagging assets and conducting equipment inventories.

I worked for IBM at a site that managed the point-of-sale systems for the restaurants owned by Advantica. Initially I worked on editing the menus for the Quincy's POS. Later I assisted with management of POS harddrive images, maintaining the list of gold copies and replicating them as needed. My only software development task as an intern was to port a copy of the two-factor authentication key generator to the DaVinci handheld.

I had the pleasure of completing two software development projects for Michelin of America Research Center. The first was to port a tire design program that was written to only output to a plotter. I rewrote it to output to graphics files for the convenience of the designers. The other project was more of a research assignment to educate the software development team on the use of COM programming. This was a completely new area of software development for me, but it was exciting to learn.
