As Nightshift Operations Manager I am responsible for ensuring all customer orders are picked and despatched correctly, in full and on time for next day delivery....I thoroughly enjoy the challenge..I am also responsible for any shift issues that may occur from H&S matters through to ensuring my staff have the correct equipment to get the job done...Having worked my way up through the ranks from Warehouse Operative, to Supervisor and ultimately to Operations Manager , I feel my experience gives me a great deal more insight into what the business and my staff need to succeed .I also have an ILM level 3 award in first line management which covers three modules : solving problems / decision making , building the team and motivating to perform in the workplace

Worked at Palgrave Brown for approx. 10 years , enjoyed the experience of operating bandsaws etc in the sawmill and also carried out general handling of panel and roughsawn products when needed.I also took on the role of operating a sideloader truck which I thoroughly enjoyed,my role on this was to feed the sawmill and its many machines/ operatives with their daily jobs,this could get quite hectic and a good memory was needed to remember which person asked for which product to be took into the saw mill next, challenging but enjoyable, definitely kept me on my toes ...
