Milking 1600 cows twice a day on a 70 bail rotary platform. The stock were fed a highly supplemented diet and only grazed grass for a few hours a day. Initially I was employed as a Farm Assistant but was moved into the position of shed manager where I gained experience treating stock and maintaining the shed and milking equipment. I also have experience in effluent irrigation, fencing, calving cows, stock water maintenance, and driving a pay loader.

Milking 300 cows twice a day within an all grass system. Preparing break fences and fixing/installing permanent fencing. Tractor work including sub-soiling, topping, feeding out, calving cows and treating mastitis with a drug free approach.

I spent one year working for the Shell Dunedin cluster. Since the beginning of my employment I have earned an employee of the month award. I also received a "double header" in the mystery shopper program for delivering excellent forecourt and shop service single handedly. I was working on a temporary contract since the demise of Shell Waikouaiti and have worked as a site manager at Shell Palmerston and Shell Green Island.

While studying I was working part-time for two years as both a lab demonstrator in a 200-level pharmacy course. I also spent two years demonstrating for the 300-level bioinformatics course. In addition to this I completed short contracts as a tutor for Disability Information and Support in 100 and 200-level Chemistry and Biochemistry courses at the University of Otago. I spent two years as a private tutor for the first year health science program and all 200-level biochemistry papers. My MSc supervisor also employed me part-time to train some of the newer students in the lab and evaluate software and software upgrades including the implementation of Otago's own version of UCSCs Genome Browser.

While studying at the University of Canterbury I was employed during the weekends in sole charge of a self-service car wash. My duties included basic maintenance of the coin operated machines, cleaning the wash bays, restocking the vending machines, assisting customers and maintaining a clean site.

I worked in a retail position at Shell Moorehouse and Shell Brougham St where I gained three perfect scores in mystery shopper reviews. Initially working graveyard and spending the majority of time cleaning and restocking shelves. I was moved onto the 3-11 shift for the remainder of my employment where my duties consisted mainly of customer service and sales expansion. At the time I was working there Shell Brougham St was the top site in the territory for sales expansion with a weekly storewide conversion rate of ~10%.
