Mr. Barger has over 40 years experience as a law enforcement officer and a public safety industry professional and is currently working as an independent consultant. His work over time includes performing duties as a Deputy Sheriff in a rural county with a major university, Police officer, Detective and Lieutenant in a police agency in the Denver metropolitan area and as a public safety industry consultant for major software providers and implementers. He piloted and managed the initial deployment and enhancements to an enterprise level Police Records and Jail management systems used by many major agencies in the United States. The applications were the foundation for the vendor to enter into a more diverse business model and develop and as a complete Public Safety solution vendor. Mr. Barger’s diverse experience includes project management and consulting services to local, state and federal agencies resulting in sales, additional revenues and customer satisfaction with the company’s products. His knowledge includes significant experience in CAD, 911 telephone systems, mobile data, fire operations and records management, data exchanges. NIEM and Federal agencies security operations. HIs last major project was for the City of New York Fire Department helping to deliver a city wide fiber communications network to fire stations.Mr. Barger was Vice chair of the IPSTSC committee, IJIS Public Safety Technical Standards Committee.
