Relationship management, product structuring, deal origination and transaction execution responsibilities for structured finance transactions, including asset-backed and derivative linked cross-border financing and investment transactions for corporate and banking clients utilising the bank’s balance sheet and tax capacity. Responsibilities included:• Development, proposal and execution of new structured products to sophisticated corporate and financial institution clients located in Europe and Asia with fee generation of over $100 million;• Negotiation of transaction pricing, terms, conditions, guarantees and documentation with clients;• Management of structured finance projects from initiation to completion, including supervision of work streams across an international team based in Asia, North America and Europe;• Structuring transactions and flows to ensure tax enhancements as well as the minimisation of tax and market risk, credit exposure and capital usage through the use of hedging, collateral and unwind arrangements;• Working with management and heads of risk functions including Credit, Treasury, Tax, Accounting, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance to obtain transaction approvals;• Working with external counsel to obtain positive tax and legal advice in all jurisdictions and to draft and review transaction documentation;• Working with internal control functions to ensure the correct recording, processing and management of transaction throughout their lives;• Board positions on transaction specific SCB owned subsidiary companies and advice to off-balance sheet entities;• Dealing with external authorities’ enquiries on treatment and structuring of transactions;• Orderly unwind of transaction structures following the Bank’s exit from tax-enhanced structured finance.
