Currently a Logistics Specialist in the RAF and due to leave the service in June 2023. I have had a diverse career and have honed skills in, Logs Management, Training, Fuel Systems Management, Consignment Tracking, Material Accounting, Fleet Management and I am currently a Warehouse and Receipts and Dispatch Manager leading a team of 35 junior logistician, managing hundreds of millions of pounds worth of equipment.When I leave next summer, I am looking at something a little different that will still allow me to use my skills and qualities but in a different field. I am a keen outdoor adventurer and have recently got into cycling. Cycling has now inspired me to look at completing a Cycle Maintenance qualification and look for opportunities for employment in this field. I am also considering Forestry Management and have started researching and routes into the sector.I am known for my strong verbal and written communications skills, liaising with internal and external stakeholders with ease to highlight and mitigate risk using my excellent trade knowledge and building effective relationships and new processes which sped up and increased the availability of critical aircraft assets. I can assimilate complex information quickly and plan accordingly, consistently delivering results. I have been told that I am an inspirational leader because I like to empower each team member to drive their own ideas and make effective contributions to the bigger operational picture, this also allows me to have the flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise accordingly. One of my favorite parts of my role has been delivering training, I have been told I am a natural facilitator, dedicated to delivering outstanding training packages and using my coaching and mentoring skills to support team members’ professional development. One of my proudest achievements was upskilling 10 individuals from the RAF Reserve Force in Primary Equipment Packup Management, increasing their individual deployability and increasing the whole RAF deployment capability.
