Profile bio

About Stephen Batchelor

I am a Systems Engineer and Support Analyst with over 26 years experience, working on a variety of public and private sector projects. Please see my CV for further details. Now receiving my pensions so not looking for full-time work. Part time or Contract, yes. It's your loss if you don't employ meOver the last 10 years I have applied for over a dozen N.H.S administration and technical jobs without any success. It is a total fantasy that British people could run the N.H.S without any immigrants. It's just ageism, sexism and inverse racism. I consider that my primary skills are SQL, UNIX (server support and scripting), Ingres OpenROAD & ABF, Perl, Oracle PL/SQL and COBOL. I am also highly experienced in customer business support and technical trouble-shooting.I am prepared to offer any potential employer a trial period of up to 4-6 weeks without pay, for me to prove my capabilities in a real working environment. All I would ask is that the potential employer reimburses my daily travel costs for the trial period, and any overnight accommodation costs if the location is not within my preferred daily commuting preference (please see below). My full CV can be found on my LinkedIn profile. Alternatively email me requesting a copy.

Listed skills include Microsoft Office 2010, Cobol, Systems Analysis, Requirements Analysis, and 23 others.

I really can't be bothered anymore as this disgusting country and it's leaders who only care about immigrants from the Indian sub-continent and eastern europe, while true British people search vainly for employment and suffer under austerity. Currently available for any type of I.T.-related work suiting my broad skills and experience. A permanent, full or part-time, role in Greater Manchester or Cheshire would be ideal. Temporary appointments also welcome. Alternatively contract work will be considered anywhere in the UKAfter a recent career break I am now very keen to get back into full-time employment. If anyone who knows me from my days at EDS, or Dept for Transport, would consider recommending me for an opportunity, I would be very grateful.
