As a member of Information Services' Enterprise Architect team, my work focuses on guiding DePaul's use and adoption of core and emerging technologies. This includes supporting the other units within Information Services and ensuring that their systems and processes support the overarching mission of the university.

Transitioning into the Senior role on the Infrastructure Systems team required a greater focus on initiatives and projects with enterprise-wide impact. This included heading hardware refreshes and the transition of services to Microsoft Azure.

As a member of the Infrastructure Systems team within DePaul's Information Services organization, my key areas of focus included the virtualization and enterprise storage environments as well as the management and orchestration systems crucial to their administration.

As Chief Technology Officer, I drove Equitable Technologies' efforts to help other non-profit agencies strengthen, simplify, and modernize their information technology environments by leveraging the public cloud. We accomplished this by utilizing charitable grants and donations from public cloud providers, such as Microsoft and Google, coupled with our consulting, training, and technical services.Upon reaching important milestones with existing customers at the end of 2023, the business was shuttered to allow me to focus entirely on my role as Enterprise Architect at DePaul University.

As a member of the Hardware Services division of the Purdue System Cloud, I worked within the Hosting Infrastructure, Datacenter Management, and Storage as a Service teams.External to those groups, I also specialized in working within the hyperscale public cloud vendors, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. My efforts here focused on bolstering the services available to customers on the West Lafayette and regional campuses. Additionally, I lead the migration of numerous on-premises services to cloud platforms in order to increase their resilience, reduce their reliance on legacy tools, and drive cost savings.

Role Summary:1) Managed diverse portfolio of Linux and Windows systems as well as their associated monitoring (PRTG) and configuration automation platforms (Ansible, Puppet, Spacewalk).2) Curated the internal DevTest environment utilized by all IT segments in their change management efforts. 3) Established the IT division's internal documentation and project management platforms (Atlassian) as well as version control (GitLab) environment. 4) Collaborated with the Information Cyber Security Office on the remediation of any identified security issues within established expectations. 5) Supported the enterprise SQL environments (SQL Server 2012 - 2017, MySQL, Oracle DB) hosting application databases and other University data.6) Administrated virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere 6.5 - 7.0, Horizon View) and providing resource provisioning, capacity planning guidance. 7) Implemented cost-effective services within the public cloud (AWS, Azure) to aid fault tolerance and meet SLAs.8) Provided mentoring and supervision to the Server Administration student workers to foster skill development and further bolster the department's effectiveness.
