I began my Delegate career as a summer intern at age 15. After 1 year I began a part-time role as a Resourcer, working a few hours each week after school and during holidays. After 2 years, I began university but continued my position, averaging 16 hours per week during term time, 24hrs outside term-time and 32+ (full-time) during the summer holidays.My role is largely administrative, including filing candidates, clients and vacancy information and files in an electronic database. My main function is to source and pre-screen candidates which are then sent to the talent advisers, which involves creative and critical thinking to find and identify appropriate candidates from a large pool. The PA side of my role includes contacting and scheduling calls with candidates on behalf the recruiters, creating unique multi-media CVs for each candidate, managing the database, updating the database on a weekly basis with the late roles and positions from our clients, answering the phones, maintaining our presence on social media and job boards, and anything other tasks as required.During my time I have also used my skills in photoshop and writing to create promotional posters for use on social media, as well as blog posts and press releases on our website. I also regularly write job descriptions for our roles, as these must be changed from the version supplied to us to maintain client data protection.Since September 2015 I have been working remotely while at university, from home and hotdesking centers. This autonomy requires me to have even greater organisational skills than when working at one of our offices, as well as time management and efficiency, to ensure I am working to the best of my ability. As I am working alone, I am very comfortable managing my own workload and motivating myself. However, as I am still working as part of a team, I have gained exceptional team work and coordination skills, and always put the team first.
