In my current role, I provide senior technical leadership on a variety of health and environmental risk-related topics. In addition, I serve as the Customer Portfolio Manager (CPM) for ARA's Health Solutions practice area and lead health-related business development (BD) activities in the Health, Environment, Analytics, Risk, and Technology (HEART) Directorate. My research interests include the development of innovative modeling approaches to predict health risks, the application of practical approaches to quantify uncertainty and establish the credibility of computational models, increasing my understanding of how AI can be used to predict adverse health outcomes, and the development of causal models of complex physiological responses to stressor exposures. I am continuing to serve as the Environmental Modeling and Visualization Laboratory (EMVL) Team Lead on EPA ORD's support contract for High-End Scientific Computing, and work with an outstanding professional staff to support a wide range of EPA's scientific computing needs. In addition to my role with the EMVL, I and the Project Manager on a multi-year contract with the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) - Tobacco Product Exposure and Risk Evaluation. These contracts involve close collaboration with government staff to develop probabilistic models and scientific computing software that can be used to predict and characterize risks to human health and the environment.

As a Group Leader and Director, it was my honor to lead a staff of highly trained scientists, engineers, modelers, and scientific computing specialists in the Health, Environment, Analytics, Risk, and Technology (HEART) Directorate at ARA. The Directorate's primary focus is on the development of computational models to predict the likelihood and severity of adverse effects following exposure to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN), and blast hazards.

Provided senior leadership related to the risk assessment of chemical, radiological, and microbial agents in food and environmental media. Managed projects and contracts; served as co-Principal Investigator on norovirus research collaborative (NoroCORE) led by NC State University, and as Project Manager/Technical Lead (for Cadmus as prime) on a major overhaul of USAID's risk assessment methodology for insecticides used in malaria vector control. As VP of Business Development, developed business strategies and processes designed to leverage Neptune's multidisciplinary expertise in statistics (Bayesian and frequentist), modeling, structured decision making, risk assessment, and software development. Identified growth opportunities, provided Pwin analyses, engaged partners, created win strategies, wrote and reviewed proposals, and tracked opportunities across the company.

Served as a Sr. Director, leading a Center of approximately 50 dedicated professionals in three programs, Risk Assessment, Geospatial Sciences, and Information Technology. Portfolio included FDA, USDA, EPA, CDC, international, and commercial clients, with annual revenues above $9M. Responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, financial planning, capture planning and proposal development, recruiting/hiring/mentoring, and x-RTI collaborations. Significant technical role as contract manager for FDA's risk assessment mission support contract, leading the development of risk-based approaches and data management systems, and as a co-Principal Investigator on the norovirus research collaborative (NoroCORE).

Led a group consisting of 15-20 professional staff including health and environmental scientists, engineers, microbiologists, and modelers. Highly efficient, served as Project Director on 4 prime contracts (EPA, FDA, Army), 4 subcontracts, and managed more than 15 multidisciplinary project teams (<25,000 hours) of RTI staff, subcontractors, and consultants. Applied versatile technical skills in leading norovirus risk research, risk characterization methods for Environment, Abu Dhabi, and the development of risk-based decision support systems for FDA.

Project Director on multiple EPA prime contracts, an FDA prime contract, and 5 subcontracts, successfully delivering over 150,000 hours of risk assessment services. Developed and implemented business capture plan around food safety risk assessment, winning $9M contract with FDA to support their mission to advance risk-based methods and data-driven systems to continue to improve the safety of the food supply. Provided technical leadership across multiple disciplines, including health science, environmental chemistry, fate and transport, toxicology, and ecosystem responses to stressors.

Performed dozens of risk assessments on chemical contaminants in groundwater, surface water, soil, and the food chain, primarily associated with solid and hazardous waste regulations. As technical lead, developed multimedia, multipathway predictive risk modeling technologies for EPA, covering metals, mercury, PCBs, dioxins, and other lighter organics. Developed toxicological profiles and data hierarchies, interim health benchmarks, and a wide range of risk assessment methods, from screening to probabilistic multimedia models.
