I have completed 2 years of the Subsea7 graduate programme where I have had experience in the design, fabrication and installation of subsea structures.During my first year I was part of the Structures & Piping team where I worked on the Alligin project, designing subsea structure piping which included the completion of engineering drawings and isometrics. For this project I was also one of two engineers present for a month long FAT for two subsea structures in a fabrication yard in Scotland. During this FAT I was responsible for ensuring all pressure/function testing was completed and producing daily reports for project managers. Additionally, I also took on the role of a project engineer and was onboard one of the company vessels for the installation of these structures.During this first year I also worked on the West Barracouta project as a piping design engineer. Activities included the design of piping systems within 3 subsea structures including a hot tap into an existing pipeline. This scope of work included extensive piping stress analysis using CAESAR II software and subsequent design report writing, as well as producing engineering drawings. During my second year I moved departments to take on the role of a project engineer within the Pipeline Group. I have been working on the Aerfugl project and have been involved in writing offshore installation and contingency procedures. On top of this, for the complexity of the EHTF technology there was extensive collaboration between departments to ensure high quality engineering design of the pipeline and structures which resulted in smooth installation.
