Bring me your engineering design challenges. 25 years experience in Product | Part | Systems R&D and manufacturing in both the private and government sectors has given me broad success across the electro-mechanical design engineering arena. Solidworks 3D CAD, 3DX platform admin, Industrial Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), project lead management.At an early age my mechanical curiosity showed. As a toddler, I would take my toys apart rather than just play with them. I needed to fully understand how something works, why it breaks and how to make it better. Continuing that trend, first it was dirt bikes, then all things boats and cars. The enjoyment of maintaining, repairing, and modifying them was all part of it for me. Design engineering across multiple disciplines was inevitable.In the commercial world, I have managed high volume production departments, owned a $3 million per year business with 20 employees and developed customer and field service programs for all product lines. In R&D, I am internationally published, implemented and managed an industrial additive manufacturing department to a team of 50 scientists, researchers and engineers in autonomous robotics research and achieved great success at NASA.Solving a design challenge utilizing my skills, experience and education in the most efficient way possible without compromising quality or function is how I do work.
