Transport Planning And Highway Development Manager
Sefton Council
Responsible for managing Sefton Council's Strategic Transport Planning and Investment, Highway Design and Highways Development Control services. My transport planning team is responsible for developing and implementing strategic transport policies and plans, development and management of the transport capital investment programme and leading on the development and delivery of major transport schemes. We work closely with the Council's economic regeneration team investing in the infrastructure of the Borough. My Highway Design and Development Control team provides the Council's in-house engineering design service responsible for designing and delivering a wide range of highway improvement schemes and our structural engineering capability. We provide technical assessment of the highway implications of planning applications and implement the relevant legal agreements and commitments arising from planning conditions. We provided input to the local plan process on the transport implications of development proposals. In addition to managing these teams, I provide specific expertise in the environmental impacts of transport policies and interventions, especially in relation to air quality, carbon emissions and impacts on the natural environment.
