CurrentStephen was, before joining Land Law LLP, a partner at national law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP for many years and has been qualified for over 30 years.Stephen’s extensive career has covered both public and private sector work.For the private sector, his experience ranges from major developments to shopping centre acquisitions and leasing work, industrial estates and site acquisitions and disposals, including the disposal of most of the property portfolio of a major manufacturer.For the public sector, Stephen has advised local authorities on major projects, including new school developments and land disposals for housing. He has advised several government departments to senior level in connection with major projects, ranging from PFI to leases and disposals. He was head of a team of 30 lawyers dealing with one of the largest transfers of public sector property to the private sector.Stephen’s further experience includes development and overage agreements for a substantial housing and commercial site in the West Midlands, site assembly for a school project, a major warehouse development, a supermarket development, acquisition of an office block, a substantial CPO in Leeds, minerals leases and the complex refinance of a portfolio of properties worth over £30 million.
