Founding partner and director of Newcastle-based music events production company Dogshot Productions.Responsible for the organisation and execution of bi-annual Newcastle mini-festival Hellnation, including curating the 20+ band line-up, the formulation and execution of each festival’s visual style (creation of posters and all social media visual assets), managing budgets, and artist / agent liaison.Also oversee on-site logistics, managing a team of 10+ on-ground crew, stage management and on-site artist liaison duties.

Recent work includes being engaged by City of Newcastle as the editorial coordinator and content creator for its What’s On platform.Responsible for the creation of an editorial strategy and style guides for the platform as well as the day-to-day operational management of the platform including managing the events calendar, all editorial content, the creation and implementation of special event landing pages and weekly EDMs.Also recently contracted by City of Newcastle as the Editorial Coordinator for its flagship economic development strategy Imagine Newcastle – a digital portal aimed at encouraging people from metropolitan centres to move to Newcastle.In this capacity, I was responsible for the formulation of the project’s editorial strategy and editorial direction as well as creating all editorial content within.• The Imagine Newcastle project was nominated as a finalist in the Economic Development Marketing and Promotion category in the Economic Development Australia (EDA) National Economic Development Awards for Excellence.

Responsible for driving editorial direction of Newcastle-based music and culture portal newcastlelive.com.au and increasing engagement and audience on social channels. Within six months of taking on the role I surpassed the weekly KPI of 20,000 site hits per week (through organic and boosted content) which saw the KPI increased to 30,000 hits per week – a target I always reached.Also responsible for sourcing, researching, and writing content covering music, film, arts, food, news, and lifestyle for Newcastle Live as well as creating all advertorial copy and liaising with clients to formulate marketing campaigns on Newcastle Live and social channels. I also managed a team of ten contributors, oversaw EDM creation and SEO optimisation, and was also responsible for photography, video production, SEO optimisation, and editing as well as graphic design work.

Sole journalist for weekly newspaper Cessnock Advertiser and responsible for covering all rounds – police, council, court, sport, entertainment – as well as general news and photography.Also managed the sub-editing of the Cessnock Advertiser as well as assisting with sub-editing the Maitland Mercury.• Broke the story about the closure of Endeavor Industries – a Cessnock-based disability support workplace – that saw the termination of 131 workers in. the region. Story was picked up by major media outlets throughout the region.
