Having been a senior executive leader for over 30 years, and a managing director of his management consulting company since 2007, Stephen intimately knows how executive roles work and the organisational expectations of those roles.Stephen has successfully recruited over 185 CEO/GM’s into local government and the private sector, and his extensive connections within local government, government, the not-for-profit and private sectors is considerable.Stephen has made valuable contributions to local government reform through membership of government committees and professional associations. He served as National Registrar of the Local Government Chief Officers Group from 1998 to 2007 and in 2011 Stephen was privileged to be appointed by the then Minister for Local Government in NSW, the Hon Don Page MP, to the Local Government Acts Taskforce, and as a member of the 4-person Taskforce developed a comprehensive review of the 1993 Local Government Act.Stephen is an accredited and somewhat expert Hogan Leadership Assessor (since 2013) and he is inspired to help managers in their leadership journey.Stephen has a passionate commitment to local government and local communities.
