I founded CMG in 1992 and currently serve as Executive Chairman and Chief Investment Officer. With over 40 years of experience in investment management, CMG is a multi-family investment office with an endowment-like institutional investment approach serving high net worth investors. My career in finance began at Merrill Lynch in 1984 on an institutional trading desk, where I gained a deep appreciation for the importance of risk management. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my insights through speaking engagements, articles, and my book On My Radar: Navigating Stock Market Cycles – How to Grow and Defend Your Wealth, published by ForbesBooks in 2020. I’m also the author of the free weekly global macroeconomic investment e-letter “On My Radar,” where I discuss market trends, economic indicators, and investment strategies. In addition to my weekly macroeconomic e-letter, On My Radar, I also publish Trade Signals, a weekly subscription service. Trade Signals offers a snapshot of market trends across various asset classes that include equities, fixed income, currencies, commodities and gold, examining the short, intermediate, and long-term cycles. Trade Signals also tracks valuation metrics, investor sentiment, and recession indicators to help assess future return probabilities. Through it all, my goal has remained simple: to help our clients grow and preserve their wealth with a thoughtful, balanced and informed approach. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to work with many incredible people over the years, and I’m committed to continuing that journey. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and spent four years playing varsity soccer. As an avid sports enthusiast, I enjoy golfing, skiing, and volunteering as an assistant coach for a boys' high school soccer team, where I have the pleasure of working directly under my wife, Susan—my all-time favorite coach!
