I have been in transport more specifically with the fast moving convenience goods industry for almost 10 years within this industry I have experienced most aspects of it, from a driver perspective, training, compliance, management, customer care, planning. I have been heavily involved in implementing an alternative fuel source for our company which was an impressively big step towards a more sustainable company but also future. The experience I have gained being involved is crucial to my development. I believe in developing myself while encouraging the people around me and in my charge as this give value back to a business, maybe not measurable in a traditional sense but does definitely give value back for a business. I am not afraid to speak up if something may be detrimental to the business. I bring facts to a meeting. I am equally happy for change, I believe in change is required for all industries to keep up with customers demands.I have been in the fire service for 11 years, through this I have experienced alot. Due to this I see safety matters alot differently than others that may not of had to deal with aftermath of an incident. This I find helps with issues in the workplace that may have been blown out of proportion and the issues that tend to be swept under when they should be addressed. I am also not afraid to speak up if I think a dangerous occurrence may occur. Pretty much desensitised to most things, that being said have a good sense of humour. Can deliver bad news without it sounding too bad.I have experienced high pressure environments in both the emergency services and also transport. I am accustomed to making decisions on the fly with limited information, I can also gather the information from sources that may not want to divulge the information.I have 2 qualifications for training in the workplace, I also hold a TAQA level 3 qualification. I am a cat CE holder current CPC, I hold a IOSH, blue light advanced driver qualification, hold Transport Manager CPC (LGV), experienced in double deck trailers operations, LNG operations.
