My name is Stephen Bridgers and I am currently in my 7th semester at Monroe college where I will be receiving my bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. I currently have my associate degree in culinary arts. Have you ever felt so needed that everywhere you turn around someone wants you to do something for them? Well that’s how I felt when I was taking my culinary classes at Monroe. In those classes I showed my ability to work under pressure and get a lot of work done in a limited amount of time. One of the chef’s in the program saw so much potential in me he decided to take me under his wing and have me help him with some of the production he needed to get done. I helped him make meat mix for sausage, burgers, etc.. He also showed me a way to eat healthier with food still tasting the same. That’s exactly what my blog is about. My blog, “Healthy Eating & Living” is about pushing yourself to feel better mentally and physically by working out and eating better. I know the pandemic has us eating all sorts of unhealthy foods, but my blog highlights the stuff we shouldn’t eat to much of and the vitamins we need more of.
