Co-ordinated a project involving a team in Newcastle, Boston and Paris and successfully cloned a gene responsible for two types of muscular dystrophy, Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2B and Miyoshi Myopathy. Personally put the sequence data together and co-wrote the paper that went in Nature Genetics
