System design and implementation, from pricing through to delivery. Several aspects of data manipulation, interrogation, conversion, logging have been carried out in most projects undertaken. Extensive SCADA / PLC / HMI programming of various types. SCADA types including RSView, Intouch, Cimplicity, etc.HMI and PLC types including Telemecanique, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.

In addition to duties as “Process Control Technician”. Writing procedures for instrument calibrations and safe working procedures for any electrical based activity. Overall maintenance for MV and HV systems up to and including 11kV. Major project work, with full control over design, purchasing, budgets, etc, of all electrical installations. Interviewing persons for all engineering positions. Writing and implementing training schedules for all engineering personnel. Training of process control technicians. Long-term development of engineering practices. Directly responsible for plant improvements.

Calibrations; technical support for two manufacturing sites; PLC programming; HMI programming; project work; general maintenance, installation and repairing of machine tools; closed loop control systems; non-destructive testing systems; gas fuelled furnaces; AC, DC, stepper motor and servo drive systems.Shift engineering duties, leading a team of cross disciplined engineers. Planning and scheduling of planned maintenance. Training of apprentices and electricians; handling disciplinary and grievance procedures; holiday scheduling; allocating and supervising maintenance work in the plant.
